Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Write CICS COBOL programs that access and update VSAM files. |
| Overview: Many CICS COBOL programs access and perhaps also update VSAM files. CICS provides its own file management commands for COBOL. |
| Prerequisites: Ability to code and run CICS COBOL programs, and to edit, translate, compile and link them. A general understanding of VSAM files is required, which can be obtained by attending our VSAM/IDCAMS Utility course. |
| Format: Instructor-led and hands-on computer workshops. |
