Objectives:   Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to: -  View a captured Abend-AID dump using Abend-AID CICS panels. -  Solve a variety of online abends, including ASRA (data error, storage), etc. -  Lock a captured Abend-AID dump for future reference.

Overview:   -  This course uses Abend-AID for CICS transactions and panels to solve a variety of CICS COBOL abends. This course uses Abend-AID for CICS Release 4.3.1 and focuses on program dumps and not on system dumps. -  Each student must have TSO and CICS logons with Abend-AID for CICS installed. Class needs mainframe connectivity to TSO and CICS.

Prerequisites:   General knowledge of MVS data storage and working knowledge of both COBOL and CICS.

Format:   Lecture and discussion with hands-on exercises.
